Deleting your account

You can delete your vola account and everything stored with it. There are two routes, and both end in the same place.

From inside the app

1. Open Settings.
2. Choose Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account and everything in it are deleted immediately.

By email

If you have already uninstalled vola, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and ask for deletion. We verify that the account is yours before we act on it.

What gets deleted

• Your account and the email and name received from Apple or Google
• Every diary entry, including body text, drawings and photos
• Rendered previews of your diary pages
• Workouts, weights, goals and countdowns
• Saved ballet moves and the store items recorded against your account

What is kept, and for how long

Deleting from inside the app completes immediately. If you ask by email instead, we verify the account is yours first and complete the deletion within 30 days. Records we are required to keep — such as purchase receipts held for tax and accounting — are retained for the period the law requires, and are not linked back to a deleted account for any other purpose.

Where vola offers purchases, they are made through Apple or Google, and deleting your vola account does not cancel a subscription — cancel that in your App Store or Google Play account.
